The gap we were built to fill.
Off-site construction works. The technology is proven, the economics hold, and the market has accepted it. But it is still a young enough discipline that genuine operating experience is scarce, and it is spread thinly across manufacturing, design, capital and project delivery — rarely all four in the same place.
So developers commission plants they cannot assess. Manufacturers build products the market did not ask for. Lenders decline projects that are perfectly sound but structured in a way they have not seen before.
None of these are difficult problems. They are unfamiliar ones, and unfamiliarity is expensive. J2 exists to put experienced practitioners on those problems — without requiring a client to hire a permanent team to get them.
What makes us different
We have been on both sides
We have managed developments through rezoning, design and construction, and we have designed modular products and the plants that build them. Developers get a team that knows what happens when drawings reach a production line. Manufacturers get a team that knows what the developer on the other end of the contract is worried about.
We are operators, not advisors
Our practitioners have run plants and delivered projects. At least one of us currently holds an operating role at a manufacturer rather than consulting to one. The advice comes from the floor, not from a framework.
